Step 1
Plan to begin and finish in an inconspicuous corner. First, measure out from the corner 1/2" shorter than the width of wall covering and mark a vertical line on the wall with a plumb line or level. |

Step 2
Measure height of wall to determine lengths of strip then cut paper allowing additional wall covering for pattern match. |
Step 3
Loosely roll the measured wall covering strip and immerse in water tray filled with cold tap water. Wait 15 seconds. Slowly pull strip out of the tray, checking that both front and back are thoroughly wet. |
Step 4
Fold pasted side to paste side. Wait 2 minutes. This allows the paper to adequately absorb water, and can prevent expansion of the strip on the wall. |
Step 5
Match pattern, hang wall covering, and smooth strip firmly into place. Smooth out any air bubbles with a wet natural sponge, or wallpaper brush. Then rinse each strip with a natural sponge and clean with clear water. |
Step 6
Trim excess from top and bottom with a razor knife and trim guide. Wash off paste residue with a clean, dap sponge.
Note: Rinse sponge frequently.
